White Mountains

White Mountains

My family has this tradition of going camping in the White Mountains, NH every summer. These were taken summer of 2015. One year later from a tragic accident (that is alright now) and a memorable trip. We have traditions up in the White Mountains. We set up the tent, go grocery shopping, make a family dinner by the fire, then the next day is July 4th and we celebrate in town at Zeb's general store and candy shop and then walking over to Ben and Jerry's before the fireworks begin, etc etc. Aside from all the fun in the woods or in town, it's the fact that getting away from real life, problems, social media, and all the fun stuff is what makes the trip that more enjoyable. I couldn't use my phone service even if I wanted to......no service. Once a year. Every year.

Four sleeping bags, my flannel, my family, and my camera....
We're all off to Jericho State Park in NH for 4 days and 3 nights for Father's day.
The whole family in one tiny cabin for 4 days...honestly, it was bearable even between the snoring and sleep talking. Our view just from opening our front door in the cabin was breathtaking. I couldn't wait to wake up to that for a few morning. This trip was filled with exploring the woods, trails, waterfalls and many back and forth trips for necessities at Wal-mart. To the first and #1 man in my life....Thank you for sharing your love for nature and camping in general with me. I love you, Dad. Hope your Father's Day was filled with nothing but relaxing (except for when we needed you to start the fire for us.)

Summer Is Gone

A little late, but better late than never! These were taken September 21, 2015. My friend, Erin, showed me a secret field she had found earlier in the year. We took our cameras and prepared ourselves for a majestic sunset in a wide-open field. It was on the edge of summer ending and autumn rolling in. A few flowers were on their way out, while others made it until it started getting chilly out. Next time, we just need to remember to bring a picnic basket filled with snacks.

Hello?

Tiny Chinatown

A few weeks back,  my mom, my brother, and I planned on going to NYC for a couple days. When that plan got erased off the chalkboard, we all decided to spend a day in Chinatown, MA. We drank (what felt like endless) boba teas all day while we walking up and down the tiny streets. Little pikachus' and Hello Kitty anything and everything around every corner. I was in my happy place. I ended up finding a little asian market where I found all the goodies to bring home with me. Despite all the sweat and sun, a day in tiny Chinatown was just what I needed.
