Our last day in Maine (well, we were supposed to go home yesterday night, but how can you stay in such a beautiful place for just one day?) How do they expect you to check out before 11 if it's so difficult getting out of a cozy king sized bed. We pack our things and say goodbye to every inanimate object, and we make a little pit stop. It's a foggy Saturday and we stop to take pictures at Winslow State Park. I wouldn't have wanted to spend this last day/this little vacation/this tiny adventure with anybody else, but you. My Maine man, Jon.

A two hour sing- along ride home later, and we're back home in Massachusetts. I'm so jet lagged (if that can even happen after a car ride) so I take a nap next to a Kung Fu movie-obsessed boyfriend. All is good and I'm glad to be back home.

Jon and I were both on vacation this past week, so we thought, "why don't we go on a little vacation and see something new?" Hotel booked, days all planned out, and some last minute packing and we're off to Freeport/Portland, Maine for a few days. The first day we checked into our hotel, hit the Maine Beer Company first (of course), walk down into town (aka L.L. Bean), dinner at Gritty's Brewery, a quick stop at a bar that had 55 cent margaritas, last minute jump in the hotel pool, and that's a wrap for day 1 of Freeport, Maine.

Why can't breakfast be around noon? We struggle to get out of bed, but we make it to breakfast and then we "nap" until noon. After that we start our day 2. We get ready to spend the day in Portland, Maine. We start off with the Maine mall, after we came across the biggest Bullmoose we've ever seen, then we try to venture to an observatory tower in downtown which turned into us walking straight into town to roam around and grab some coffee, we take photos and walk around until we can't walk anymore, dinner one last time in town, and then we're out like a light on the last night in the king-sized bed.

Oh The Apples You Could Pick

Jon and I went apple picking (on October 15,2015- to be exact.) By the time we got to Tougas Farm, Jon's camera died and then by the time the tractor drove us to the groves my camera died as well. Some of these photos (mostly the corny cute ones) were taken on our phones. Jon helped me reach apples on the tallest branch, and then we stuffed our faces with cider donuts soon after. We bought a baby pumpkin to carve and buckled him in for safety because later that night we carved him a spooky face while watching a scary movie to end this perfect October day.

Summer Is Gone

A little late, but better late than never! These were taken September 21, 2015. My friend, Erin, showed me a secret field she had found earlier in the year. We took our cameras and prepared ourselves for a majestic sunset in a wide-open field. It was on the edge of summer ending and autumn rolling in. A few flowers were on their way out, while others made it until it started getting chilly out. Next time, we just need to remember to bring a picnic basket filled with snacks.

Autumn Date

After a day of a few plans of my own falling through, my boyfriend, Jon decided we pick up our cameras, grab a coffee, and explore a secret place he had up his sleeve on this beautiful autumn day. This day he decided to show me his photography tricks he was hiding from me. I'm glad I get to share a passion of mine with someone I could spend hours if not days with.
