refreshing

Sunday, June 29, 2014
Playing around with the camera.
I thought I'd buy myself pretty flowers to put in my room and bathroom.
Hoping it would give a refreshing and calming effect throughout the rooms, which it did!

Mexico, Circa 2010
After a stressful year, my family decided to take a trip to Mexico. These are the few of many family photos we took (yup...we were those types of tourists). Viva Mexico and all its beauty!

Binoculars

I made use of my iPhone and binoculars on this one.
Getting away by going on a hike that is up high enough to see Boston.

catch me with a camera

Hi guys! If you don't already know me, I'm Kayllin.
I'm really into photography, and I do have to admit that I'm not as into it as I was in high school, but it's all coming back slowly. It seems like whenever I pick up a camera, I lose myself (which may sound corny but wait, it gets cornier). I wish the camera could capture what my eyes see. I try my very best to capture every moment either it be a digital camera, iPhone, or even a dinky, disposable camera. I prefer film over digital, but film is getting way to expensive for me, along with developing them ):
From taking pictures of nature to weddings and everything in between.
I don't know what else to say, so that wraps it up on the topic of Photography and I.
Have a nice day, and take lots of pictures!

looking back

photo within a photo

This was a fun project. Looking through old photos and remembering that day or moment, then holding it up to the spot that has mostly likely changed since that photo was taken. Many things have changed between the little girl in a hula skirt and now.

Priscilla and I decided to be each other's Valentine. On Valentine's Day we went all out and got each other gifts, along with going to Uno's for dinner. These are just a few things I thought she would like (which she did).

Basket included:
Kitty cup
Lisa Frank sticker book
Milk St-uds
Berry cocoa butter chapstick
"who sprinkled you with grumpy dust" button
Lemon Drop mixer
various candies

In-tents Camping

In honor of this weekend's camping trip, I've pulled photos from past camping trips. This is the best part of the year, not only because it's one on one with the great outdoors, but a getaway from society and technology (excluding my camera).

11 June 2014

Today, Priscilla & I went to a cute little farm off of the route from getting coffee. A few flowers were 25% off, so I got to take a Tequila Mix plant home.

I was given a Minolta XD5 and these are just a few from my first roll of film.
I wish film wasn't so expensive, along with developing it or else I'd shoot more often with film.

My name is Kayllin, and Frances Bean is my middle name, (thanks Dad).
I live in New England. I'm currently stuck between going to school for something that might help me in the long run and photography. This is my blog dedicated to photography. Feel free to check me out on other social media sites to learn more about me.

I had taken these photos in Boston, Massachusetts, circa 2010.
The first time I brought my camera into the city which resulted in getting frustrated because I wanted to take a picture of almost everything and everyone. But, boy, did I have the best day ever.
